Facing jail time? You can avoid going to a traditional jail or prison.

Being sentenced to a traditional jail or prison can be a life changing experience – one you probably don’t want to have. Jail may be a new experience for you, but for some of your roommates it probably isn’t.

Individuals who find themselves incarcerated report that daily fights are necessary to maintain their position in jail. They also mention their ongoing fear of physical abuse. As a result, everyone is always on edge, including guards, staff and inmates.

If you have been charged with a substance abuse related offense such as DWI (or DUI), theft, forgery, credit card fraud or possession of a controlled substance, and are facing jail time, there are alternatives.

Second Chance Center is a private, medium security rehabilitation facility located on the outskirts of Albuquerque, NM.

Second Chance Center residents report that any concerns they had about their personal safety and security were quickly dispelled after spending time at the Center. The environment is respectful, supportive and everything possible is done to ensure participation and success in the rehabilitation program.

Being locked up in a traditional jail won’t necessarily solve your substance abuse issues. Why not satisfy your sentence and receive effective drug rehabilitation at Second Chance Center.

Second Chance Center offers a “pay to stay” service

Individuals facing jail or prison time can request alternative sentencing – sentencing to Second Chance rather than to a traditional jail or prison. Second Chance accepts private paying residents, the individual being responsible for the cost of accommodation and the rehabilitation program.

Voluntary Admissions

Many people with addiction issues have tried one or more rehab programs in order to handle their problem. If you have tried other programs and not received the desired result, Second Chance Center could be the answer.

Second Chance Center could be considered “extreme rehab”. It uses a unique rehabilitation model, a long-term approach and is conducted in a secure facility.

If you feel you need special help you can voluntarily admit yourself to Second Chance as a private paying resident.

Who is eligible for the Second Chance Center?

To be eligible for the Second Chance Center the following criteria must be met:

  • Must be male (at this time, the facility is unable to accommodate female residents)
  • - Must not be a sex offender
  • - If facing a sentence, the sentence should be at least 4 months. Note: A Judge will normally sentence an offender to the successful completion of the program. The program takes an average of 6 months to complete.

Second Chance Center offers a very positive alternative to traditional jail or prison.
